18th Century Green-Painted Primitive Swedish Root Wood Bowl

About the Item

18th century green-painted primitive Swedish root wood bowl with handles. Hand-carved from burl root wood. Interior retains early brown-ocher paint, and exterior of bowl is scraped back revealing early green paint. Inscribed on bottom with initials "LMO" and "EPS" and dated 1789. Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Regional differences in humidity and climate during shipping may cause antique and vintage wood to shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer to loosen and/or peel, and painted finishes and gilt to crack and flake.
