About the Item

Primitive Swedish burl root wood dugout bowl with traces of exterior red paint dates to the late 19th century. Beautiful burl grain patterns. Inscribed and dated "1885" underneath. Note: Regional differences in humidity and climate during shipping may cause antique and vintage wood to shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer to loosen and/or peel, and painted finishes and gilt to crack and flake.
