Created in Burma during the 19th century, this temple offering bowl is adorned with Palembang lacquer. Showcasing a (slightly crooked) spindle top, the bowl is adorned with delicate raised motifs and is resting on a circular base. Such offering bowls were traditionally used by monks to gather food to take back to their monastery as offering. With its lovely color and graceful silhouette, this cinnabar lacquered Burmese temple offering bowl will be an excellent decorative addition to any home.
