Antique Pair French Sevres Hand Painted Celeste Blue Circular Cabinet Plates 19C

About the Item

An exceptionally well hand painted identical pair French Sevres style hard paste porcelain circular cabinet plates, last half of the nineteenth century. The central reserve with a hand painting depicting a romantic couple in Landscapes wearing period dress. Both within decorative scroll gilding and large segments of still life of flowers decoration with outlined lavish gilding on Celeste blue ground. Condition: These pieces have had "gentle" use, no restoration or losses, some wear to gilding surrounds. Base marks as shown. Measure: Diameter: 9” (23cm). Location: Dublin City, Ireland.
