Archimede Seguso 'A Macchie' Bowl with Multiple Colour Spots A vintage Venetian 'A Macchie' (spotted) art glass bowl attributed to Archimede Seguso for Vetreria Artistica Archimede Seguso ca. 1950s. Free formed clear glass with gold foil and multiple spots in blue, red, green and pink glass. An authentic piece of Midcentury Modern Murano art glass of the 1950s. Archimede Seguso (1909-1999) is the master glassmaker of the family history of the 20th century. In the 1950s Archimede showed all his genius with creations like the 'Merletto' (lacework) the 'Reticello Piume' (feathers) or the 'Polveri' (powdered) series. The cooperation with Tiffany & Co allowed Seguso new opportunities for great collections. In 1989 Archimede Seguso celebrated his 80th birthday in New York with a solo exhibition - the title speaks for itself: The Master of the Masters.
