A.Ve.M. Murano Red Millefiori Flower Silver Flecks Ribbon Italian Art Glass Bowl
About the Item
Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown red, silver, copper aventurine, millefiori flower murrines and twisted ribbons Italian art glass center bowl. It is documented to the A.Ve.M. (Arte Vetraria Muranese) company. The bowl has a scissor cut rim, with the points rolled over and pulled back onto the bowl, creating a unique shape and design. The outer layer of glass is a very deep red, becoming more transparent in the middle. The next inner layer is filled with heavy silver leaf. The top layer has a multitude of cut glass pieces and a rainbow of colors. There are pink, yellow, blue, green, orange and white colors. Also, Latticino and Zanfirico twisting ribbons, with 2 very large flower murrines on each side, in blue and pink, and the other white and yellow. Would make a great display piece on any side table, or credenza. Use it as a catchall, candy dish or ashtray. The bowl has an indent on 1 side for a cigar or cigarette. Mid-century era. Measures: 9 5/8” long x 6 1/2” wide x 3 1/4” tall.

There is an indent on one of the corners (see last photo) for a cigarette, but you can hardly notice a difference from the other corners from the top. The bowl is made with a rainbow of colors.
