Balinese Offering Bowl 'Dulang' with Floral Motif
About the Item
Balinese offering tray; these trays known as "Dulangs" were used to carry offerings atop Balinese women’s heads during ceremonial processions. This 19th century "Dulang" features a floral motif and other hand-painted Bali Hindu Motifs, a stunning piece of craftsmanship. In the modern day this would make for a wonderful decorative bowl. A visibly old piece, the age related patina to the wood and fading of the polychrome adds to its charm.
