Berndt Friberg, Unique Piece, Bowl, Gustavsberg

About the Item

Product Description: Berndt Friberg was one of the most influential ceramists in mid-century Sweden, his works are still popular world-wide and are known for their elegance and beatiful patinas. Berndt Friberg was influenced by Chinese ceramics from the "Song dynasty". Searching for some of the ceramics made in that period is definitely worth a try as striking similarities can be found both in form as in patina. Famous musea exhibit his work such as: the MOMA, the Metropolitan Museum and the National museum of Sweden. Product Condition: Some grey metal marks can be seen in some places when the product is examined in light (these are visible on one of the pictures). There are two places where pinhole-shaped dents are present. Otherwise the product is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Weight: 120g.
