This piece shows Chris Knights's continued exploration of silver as he challenges its use; turning away from the material's traditional application and using its qualities to freely explore form and sensory ranges of provocation and attraction, light and dark, smooth
and sharp. The piece demonstrates Knight's breadth of fabrication skills, using traditional silversmithing techniques of hand raising and planishing as well as new techniques of TIG welding and oxidization.
Hallmarked for 925 standard silver and Sheffield Assay Office.
