Christopher Dresser Attributed Aesthetic Movement Terracotta Bowl
About the Item
A very stylish aesthetic movement terracotta bowl with slip applied floral designs in the manner of Watcombe and design attributed to Christopher Dresser dating from around 1880. The bowl combines light and darker terracotta clays and is unglazed and has a stylized colored slip floral and foliage design to the body. The bowl has remnants of a black makers mark to the base but too indistinct to identify.
