Art Nouveau bowl by the Danish sculptor Karen Hagen for P. Ipsens Enke in 1909.
The art nuveau cherry bowl is in excellent condition.
P. Ipsens Enke (1843 - 1955) was a very succesfull manufactorer that especially during the first part of the 1900´s managed to attract several leading names in Danish art and design who worked for the manufactorer who managed to export their well made handcrafted pieces to many countries.
Over the years, the manufactores creations acquired 56 first-class international prizes and are represented in many public institutions among them Neue Pinakothek in Munich, the National Museum in Stockholm, the Los Angeles Museum in California, Cleveland and the Brooklyn Museums, the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Les Amis des Musees de la ville de Mons, Brussels, the National Arts Club in New York and the Latvian National History Museum in Riga.
