About the Item

Danish mid-century ceramic bowl from the legendary workshop Saxbo, made ca. 1950s. The bowl has a repeated stylised decor of long grass straws or weeds surrounded by small birds. The bowl doesn´t have the signature of the designer which is often seen on Saxbo pieces. The style resembles very much other works by Eva Stæhr-Nielsen, so we assume it was designed by her. On verso Saxbo stamp (yin yan), Saxbo Denmark, 54.
