About the Item
A very stylish Art Deco German pottery lidded punch pot or soup tureen decorated in brightly colored glazes attributed to Dumler & Breiden and dating from around 1930. The large rounded pot stands on a narrow rounded foot and has stylized ball shaped handles applied to either side of the body. . The pot has a domed edge cover with a flat stepped platform top also mounted with a stylized ball shaped handle matching those on the body. The pot is decorated with brightly colored orange, blue and yellow glazes run over a beige colored ground with darker glazes dripped into the design. The pot has impressed marks to the base and is numbered 2337.
In good condition with a small glaze chip to the upper edge on the cover.
