Fratelli Toso Murano Millefiori Flower Star Mosaic Italian Art Glass Bowl Vase
About the Item
Beautiful large vintage Murano hand blown millefiori flower and star mosaic Italian art glass centerpiece tall bowl. Documented to the Fratelli Toso Company. Many of the murrines are lined in opal white, and some others that are more intricate are lined in a metallic black. It has a rainbow of colors, including red, pink, dark and light blue, yellow, green, orange and white. The larger murrines lined in black have bullseye designs in red, pink and blue. Some have multiple bullseyes in one. Others just solid colors. The shape is in an oval, and looks very much like antique stained glass. Would make a great display piece on any credenza, side table or dresser. Use it as a catchall, fruit bowl or flower vase. Mid-century era. Measures: 8 5/8" long x 6 1/2" wide x 4" high.
