About the Item

Product description: This item has been designed by Johanne Gerber and produced by the Danish firm Royal Copenhagen. The fajence method, consisting of adding tin-oxide to glace the earthenware, has been used in the production of this item. The baca-series of which this item is part has been form-designed by Nils Thorsson, the painting on this particular item has been designed by Johanne Gerber. The baca-series consists of a total of approximately 100 items each with a different shape and form. More than 100 different patterns exist within the baca-series all designed by around 10 different artists. The pattern design on this plate resembles fruits in a basket. The way in which the painting on the item has been made resembles that of woodblock paintings. The yellow-black color combination gives it a strong image, perfect for serving fruits on a hot summer day. The item has been signed and the size of the series has been stamped in the back as well (visible on one of the pictures).
