About the Item

An antique wooden trough from 19th-century Sweden, hand-carved and uniquely authentic, featuring an ownership mark on the base. This piece carries many signs of its age, with an incredibly beautiful patina that reflects its long history. This is a true example of Swedish Folk Art, known as 'Allmoge'—a handcrafted object made by and for the common people, reflecting their everyday lives in the countryside during the 1800s. These troughs were originally used for kneading dough, an essential activity for many families. Because of their importance, they were often passed down through generations. Use this trough as a centerpiece on a table, either decorated with flowers or other rustic items, to create a charming and authentic touch to your space.
