Large Stunning Vintage Pink White Art Glass Bowl Italian
Description:
A fabulous, large vintage piece of art glass in a flamboyant, quirky shape that looks like it could have been made today. This piece is wonderful as it would look great matched with antique or Mid-Century Modern furniture and yet it would fit perfectly into a contemporary setting, an interior designer’s dream home accessory. Glorious bright colours when daylight shines through or onto it. Its unusual sculptural form splashes out in prongs reminiscent of spilt liquid in a painterly quality. Could be used functionally as a dish of some sort for sweets, after dinner treats, decorative assortments, huge table or consort display or simply on its own as an exquisite piece of art, an absolute showpiece.
A very happy piece. Solid, striking, chunky, fluid. No damage. Handcrafted.

There is a little dark mark on the rim in the middle of one of the side, this is not damage or restoration, it is a small marking from when the piece was made. Under hot, the side has lightly touched a piece of apparatus whilst in a molten condition. We do not see it as a flaw but part of its charm and character and the nature of its handmade craftsmanship and method. (visible in the 3rd image along in the album).
