About the Item

Chinese Fuzhou bodiless lacquerware is a product of the combination of bodiless craftsmanship and lacquering art. The production of Fuzhou bodiless lacquerware is quite difficult, and each finished product has to go through dozens or even hundreds of processes. The production method of Fuzhou bodiless lacquerware is to use clay, plaster, etc. to shape the embryo, use lacquer as an adhesive, and then use summer cloth (ramie cloth) or silk cloth to cover the embryo layer by layer. After drying in the shade, the original embryo is removed, leaving the lacquer cloth prototype, and then it is grayed, polished, lacquered and ground, and finally various decorative patterns are applied to become a bright and colorful bodiless lacquerware product.
