About the Item

A Murano glass geode bowl by Archimede Seguso, made in Italy circa 1960s, utilising the sommerso technique. This square-form mid-century decorative bowl features a luminous core of mint green glass encased in a layer of transparent pale blue, creating a captivating depth and tonal variation when viewed from different angles. Measuring approximately 7 cm x 7.5 cm, with a height of 3.5 cm, the bowl is compact yet sculptural—suitable as a Murano trinket dish, vide-poche, or simply a refined accent for a shelf or console. The controlled colour gradation and precise form reflect the quality of Seguso’s postwar production and the hallmarks of mid-century Murano art glass. In very good vintage condition, the piece is free from chips or cracks. Minor surface wear to the base is consistent with age and gentle use. A refined and collectible example of 1960s Italian glass design, both elegant and display-ready.
