About the Item

The Spin Bowls are simple yet complex; terraces of linear lines create a rounded form onto which numerous layers of natural lacquer have been applied. Hand-sanding slowly reveals the different colours in beautiful complex depth, each bowl with its own character and palette. It is a small universe of alluvial pigmented layers that will grow more beautiful and stronger as it ages; quite different from the synthetic materials most colours are made from today.
