Pair of George III Brass-Bound Buckets; 1 Peat and 1 Plate, English

About the Item

Pair of English Georgian brass-bound buckets, circa 1770. Buckets are well made, sturdy, and in excellent condition and completely original and intact. These handsome fine quality buckets are premium hardwood and brass bound with bands around the circumference, in addition to curved brass handles and solid brass escutcheons. They are of a tapered, coopered form and design. While not necessarily a pair, they are obviously from the same English maker, due to the similarities in design, and same size and period; therefore, being offered as a pair. One bucket is a peat bucket while the other is a plate bucket. These are a beautiful pair of buckets. Dimensions: 16" high (top of bucket; not the handle) x 14 1/2" diameter (at the top).
