Ratom Bowl by Turbina

About the Item

Ratom bowl by Turbina Future archeology Dimensions: H 18 x W 23 x D 21 cm Materials: Natural / White Mayolica Fired Clay, Stone Cast Future archeology: The Object as connection and symbol to understand past and future times. Inspired by traditional pottery and made up intersecting earth and stone through fired clay and stone cast. The concept starts from the concave and circular shapes of the bowl and plate, depriving them of their original functionality. As an archeological site, the pieces operate as time capsules: searching leads from their material remains, thinking of possible futures in the past. Turbina is an art and design studio located in Barcelona and focused on the creation of pieces, objects and machines that revolve around the concepts of time and movement. Through our work, we try to give other answers to the logical and trascendental dificulties the very IDEA of time presents. We respect the materials own language, we select them for they’re implicit symbology and we explore they’re possibilities comprehending they’re nature. Manufactured by ourselves in a slow and thorough process.
