Set of Four Japanese Red Lacquer Bowls With Lids
About the Item
This set of four lacquered rice bowls is simply shaped with gently tapered sides and a footed base, accompanied by matching footed lids. A rich, glossy red finish coats the bowls and lids inside and out, with a contrasting black lacquer detailing on the underside of each bowl. Lightweight and compact, this set of bowls is reminiscent of the classic Japanese lacquer bowls used daily for food and drink. Today, they live on on as a reminder of a rich cultural history.
