Solid Bronze "Zion" Bowl or Vessel with Natural Edge and Red Patina, in Stock, New Production. The Zion bowl is a functional and sculptural vessel crafted originally from burl wood sourced in California. Resembling embers of a fire, the natural edge of the bowl captures the material properties of wood and carefully preserves its beautiful intricacies into bronze. Each organic growth ring, crack and split of the wood is permanently recorded into bronze using a traditional casting method. The vessel is photographed here in our Amber bronze patina finish. Blending art and statement, we release our pieces into the world not only to accessorize, but also to add function to their new surrounding. This can function as a decorative fruit bowl, planter, ash tray or simply as a sculpture to adorn your coffee table or consoles. Handmade in Los Angeles, CA from solid bronze. Custom finish options are available. Approximate accessory weight: 8 lbs.

The natural edges, grains, splits and cracks found in wood are then interpreted and preserved using traditional bronze casting methods, successfully blending art and function, with the permanence of bronze. Each bronze cast is made in Los Angeles, CA by skilled, traditionally trained artisans.
