Thomas Toft Huge Oblong Platter Green Brown Danish Midcentury Ceramic 1960s

About the Item

Stunning huge oblong low bowl by Danish ceramist Thomas Toft (1930-2015). Made ca. 1960s to 1970s. The rough dark brown chamotte clay on the outside is contrasted by a shiny glaze on the inside showing a handpainted abstract floral decor. The colors are different shades of green - moss green, grass green, bottle green, petrol - and brown and black. It would look great as a display for your fruit, for serving snacks or just to look at. On the bottom incised by hand "TT" (for Thomas Toft) Very good vintage condition. No cracks, crazing or repairs. A few minor scratchmarks.
