About the Item

Lot of 8 vintage plique a jour pieces including 3 round lidded trinket boxes, 3 scalloped edge bowls, one small plate, and one fish bowl style bud vase. All feature designs of flowers butterflies and birds on scaled backgrounds. Plique-à-jour is an enameling technique where the enamel is applied in cells, similar to cloisonné, but with no backing. This allows light to shine through making for a fun colorful changeup. Dimensions: Largest - 6.125" x 3.125" / Smallest - 2.75" x 1.625" (Diameter x Height)
