Antique Chinese Porcelain Kosometsuke Ladies in Meeting Plate Marked, 17th C

About the Item

A very nicely decorated kosometsuke plate with an unusual scene of 4 Ladies in a garden, seems like they have a meeting. A pot with a plant in the middle lower part of the scene and the sun/moon at the top. Plantain leaves to the sides and sawtooth pattern at the rim. Encircled 4 character Chenghua mark. These dishes are highly unusual, there is one in the kyoto shoin book. Additional information: Material: Porcelain & Pottery Region of Origin: China Period: 17th century Ming & Transitional (1368 - 1664) Age: Pre-1800 Condition: Condition typical rimfritting/mushikui and a line from rim. It has been used, there are some scratches visible, especially when you hold it in a certain way. Dimension: Ø 17 x 2.8 H cm
