Chinese Porcelain Bowl Hand Painted Blue and White, 17th Century Ming Export

About the Item

This is a hand painted Chinese Export porcelain bowl, which we date to the 17th century, Ming Dynasty. The bowl is fairly thickly potted with a fairly high, slightly undercut foot and an everted rim. The bowl is decorated inside and outside, in varying shades of under-glaze cobalt blue with various symbols and designs separated by curvy lined panels and with a spiral to the central inside base. This bowl could have been a piece from one of the shipwreck cargoes.
