Blue Decorative Porcelain Charger by Japanese Master Porcelain Artist

About the Item

The creator of this unique porcelain piece comes second to none in the creation of extremely intricate geometric patterns made possible through the application of sophisticated and demanding techniques of miniature painting to the complex and curved surfaces of porcelain pieces. This strikingly rare Japanese decorative porcelain charger, hand painted on a beautifully curved body, is one of the artist's masterpieces. He is the second-generation master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan. This captivating piece showcases a painstakingly produced geometric progression of diamond patterns that gradually diminishes in size to reach infinitesimal proportions at the center. A magnifying glass is needed to fully appreciate the intricacy of the pattern. The artist's profile is available upon request. This charger comes with a custom made wooden case signed by the artist. It also comes with a wooden stand. Dimensions: D 13 in, H 3.5 in.
