A Dutch Delft Lobed Dish, Late 17th Century Eric Knowles Comments. Despite the flake chip this dish is a remarkable survivor, they are almost invariably cracked and severely chipped. The yellow enamel was the nearest at the time of manufacture that could be achieved to approximate to patriotic orange. Additional Information: Heading : A late 17th Century Dutch Delft Lobed Dish Date : 1680-1700 Marks : Painted 2 or Z Origin : Delft, Dutch Republic Colour : Polychrome Pattern : A swan within a lake side landscape. The border banded with trailing tulips and flowers on a lobed rim Size : Diameter : 33.5 cm Condition: Good with some fritting to the rim and a 2cm rim flake to underside as shown Restoration : None
