Maternità di Inizi 1900, disegno a graffito al Nero Fumo su piatto ovale in ceramica dell'artista veneziano Felice Zennaro 1833-1926. Il nero fumo è stato quindi bloccato con un fissativo ed è magistralmente eseguito dal pittore partendo dagli scuri. In basso la scritta “eseguito al fumo……F. Zennaro“. In buono stato ad eccezione di qualche piccolo graffio. Felice Zennaro, conosciuto anche come Leppa, nasce l’8 ottobre 1833 a Pellestrina in provincia di Venezia. La sua prima formazione artistica avviene all’Accademia di Venezia, dove presumibilmente conosce Natale Schiavoni, all’epoca già stabilitosi definitivamente nella città lagunare. Successivamente Zennaro è a Milano, all’Accademia di Brera, allievo di Giuseppe Bertini, studi interrotti di sovente per poter combattere volontario nelle guerre d’Indipendenza contro l’Austria, delle quali lascia a testimonianza dipinti a soggetto patriottico quale La Battaglia della Bezzecca, opera di efficace interpretazione drammatica, (Milano, Museo del Risorgimento), in cui l’artista fu ferito e dato per morto. Nel 1865 presenta a Brera Turca, acquistata dalla Società di Belle Arti. Nel 1898 è a Torino con il dipinto Ingenuità e buon cuore; due anni dopo, alla mostra milanese della Pittura Lombarda dell’Ottocento, espone Primi passi. Anche i soggetti di genere di Felice Zennaro sovente fanno riferimento all’epopea risorgimentale o sono ad essa legati. Interessante, inoltre, la sua attività di ritrattista come testimoniano i dipinti: Autoritratto, Ritratto del conte Francesco Annoni, Ritratto della signora Cottini (Milano, Galleria d’Arte moderna). Si spegne a Milano il 7 marzo 1926. Sue opere figurano nel Museo del Risorgimento e nella raccolta dei Ritratti dell’Ospedale Maggiore di Milano. Questo manufatto viene spedito dall'Italia.
