La Murrina Murano Art Glass Decorative Dish Bowl
About the Item
Stunning original ‘La Murrina’ decorative Murano Art glass dish featuring coloured glass. The clear art glass has a pinched and symmetrical shape. It is enriched with thin layers of coloured art glass fragments varying from yellow to purple. The coloured art glass accentuates various shapes and sizes and elegantly placed on the surface of the clear glass. This technique is called “frammenti” which directly translates to “fragments”. The bottom of the bowl displaces a ‘La Murrina’ signature and stamp. This piece is in great condition with no cracks or breaks in the glass.
La Murrina’s history dates back to the 1960s which was operated by a group of Murano glass maestros. In 1974, it was brought by a Milan family. Soon after “La Murrina” trademark was registered and gained prominence. Its art glass works is recognized worldwide.
