Murano Opalescent Pink Spots White Italian Art Glass Scroll Design Seashell Bowl
About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown opalescent white and pink spots Italian art glass decorative seashell shape bowl / vide-poche. It has been attributed to the Fratelli Toso company. The bowl has an inner layer of transparent white opal glass, covered with an outside layer of pink. The pink color is made with thousands of tiny color pigment dots. It also has a scroll shell decoration at one end. When the sun hits it you can see the an orange shadow, created from what they call "fiery opal" glass. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or side table. The piece would make a great ring / jewelry dish. Mid-century era. Measures 5 1/2” long x 4 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" high.
