About the Item
A small ruby red Murano glass bowl with bullicante bubbles and gold inclusions, hand-crafted in Italy during the 1960s—likely from the workshop of Archimede Seguso, one of Murano’s most celebrated mid-century glassmakers.
Blown in a delicate oval form, the bowl showcases classic Murano techniques: vibrant red glass interspersed with precise controlled bubbles (known as bullicante), set in perfect concentric patterns. Gold flecks float among the bubbles, catching light and adding richness to the glass body.
The rim has been hand-ruffled and edged in clear glass, with two curled ribbon handles at either end—both decorative and functional, enhancing grip and form. The overall effect is bold yet delicate, characteristic of Seguso’s mid-century work.
Measuring 10 cm deep, 11 cm wide, and 4.5 cm high. In excellent vintage condition—smooth, clear, and still full of sparkle.
