Worcester First Period Blind Earl Moulded Sweetmeat Dish, c1775 Additional information: Period : George III Marks : none Origin : Worcester, England Colour : Polychrome decoration with brown border inside rim Pattern : Scattered floral sprigs over the lip and cavetto; fine brown border as above Features : A moulded rim and lip, with integral twig handle; moulded leaves and rose buds in the cavetto Condition : Outstanding; a little kiln-spit to the underside of the lip, slightly larger - but still small - inclusions to the base of the well; a tiny firing crack to the central twig of the moulded handle, where it sits on the lip Restoration : None Dimensions : 3.7 cm high to the handle 15.5 cm wide including this same feature 14.5 cm in diameter at the rim
