About the Item
Antique early-20th Century German exceptional solid silver & enamel cigar case, rectangular hinged lid with rounded courners, decorated with a nude girl in a lake after the painting ‘Matinée de Septembre - September Morn’ by Paul Emile Chabas, A controversial oil painting on canvas completed in 1911 by the French artist Paul Émile Chabas. Painted over several summers, it depicts a nude girl or young woman standing in the shallow water of a lake, prominently lit by the morning sun. Hallmarked German silver (900 standard), Maker's mark LK (Louis Kuppenheim).
CONDITION
In Excellent Condition - No Damage to enamel, just general wear.
