This is an antique gentleman's cigar humidor. An English, burr walnut and cedar campaign smoker's box with Bramah lock, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820. Exquisite figuring and craftsmanship elevate this fine humidor Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout Burr walnut stocks present superior grain interest Striking, deep caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish Beautifully presented with a trio of cigar drawers enclosed within Top replete with an inset, unmarked brass plaque - ideal for personalisation Handles to each side aid ease of carriage, important in period for the travelling gent Fine ebonised stringing accentuates each edge of the distinguished case Door held securely with a famous Bramah lock — in working order, key present Each drawer dressed with an inset brass handle, set within distinctive shaped backplates Cedar drawer boxes arranged with two generous compartments and narrow trough to centre Inset slides removable to widen or narrow the centre trough as required This is a superb antique gentleman's cigar humidor, presenting a delectable appearance and in beautifully clean order. As useful today as it was 200 years ago. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
