18th C. Venetian Italian Wood Box w/its Original Finish, 26.5" Wide

About the Item

A Venetian Italian box with its original finish, from the 18th century. This antique wood box from Italy is rectangular in shape with a raised foliate carving adorning its front facade. It retains its original, hand-painted faux marble finish and gilt accents. The box is raised by a pair of carved, rail-style feet. Note that there have been some wood losses at top and minor touch ups. This 18th century Venetian box is approximately 26.5" wide and nearly 19" in height, making it a sizable decorative object, perfect for keepsakes and other items, perhaps displayed upon a console table top, desk, or dresser.

This antique cabinet from Italy has a rectangular-shape, with front corners convexly scalloped inward, giving this piece a lovely shaped.
