1940s Victoria Biscuit and Chocolate Tin, Belgium

About the Item

Great lithographic tin for the brand Victoria, a Belgian Company since 1896, known for their biscuits, desserts and chocolate. This large round tin - storage box has a great design: a British grenadier with a large drum, at the background a group of marching soldiers and the leader on a horse. The Belgian brand chose to use an English Style of design to compete the British Competitors in the confectionery business. The British Grenadier with large drum was used as logo since 1938, before it was the British Queen Victoria. The Biscuit and Chocolate Industry has a large history in Belgium.
