About the Item

1953 England Rolls Razor Viscount Model in Original Box with Paperwork This 1953 Rolls Razor Viscount Model from England is a superb example of mid-century shaving innovation and design. Housed in its original blue, white, and orange cardboard box with bold period graphics, this set retains its complete presentation. While the outer cardboard shows light wear and some separation at the edges, it remains intact with fabulous vintage appeal. Inside, the packaging is clean and holds all original paperwork alongside a gleaming metal case decorated with a Greek key pattern, which contains the razor and shaving accessories. The metal case is in excellent condition, showing only the faintest signs of age, and perfectly preserves the sophistication and quality for which Rolls was known. The Rolls Razor Company, established in England in the early 20th century, was celebrated for producing high-quality shaving tools that bridged the gap between traditional straight razors and the convenience of modern safety razors. The ingenious design of the Rolls Razor incorporated a honing and stropping system within the case itself, allowing the blade to be maintained at razor-sharp perfection without the need for outside tools. By the 1930s through the 1950s, the Rolls Razor had become a trusted name in grooming, marketed as “the razor that is stropped and honed in its case.” Its clever engineering and stylish presentation quickly made it a quintessential British shaving accessory. Shaving instruments produced in England during this period were widely regarded for their durability, craftsmanship, and sleek industrial design, and the Rolls Razor stood out as one of the most collectible. Unlike disposable razors, these pieces were designed to last a lifetime, making them a symbol of both economy and luxury. Collectors today prize Rolls Razors not only for their innovative engineering but also for their connection to the history of men’s grooming and mid-century modern design. This 1953 Rolls Razor Viscount in its original presentation box with paperwork is a rare find in such complete and well-preserved condition. It is an exceptional addition to any collection of vintage shaving accessories, British design, or mid-century collectibles. Condition: The outer cardboard box shows wear and some edge separation but retains vivid graphics. The interior is clean with all original paperwork present. The metal case with Greek key motif is in excellent condition, showing only faint age-related patina. Razor and accessories are complete and beautifully preserved. Blades are not included
