19th Century American Treen Box
About the Item
19th century large treen lidded box made from birch, walnut, cherry, mahogany, and oak. The wood is layered in a design which is very pleasing with contrast of color and shape of each block of wood. The top has a turned handle and is turned ads well for added design interest. It's unusual that this is an American piece instead of being European.
