About the Item

A collection of 9 Swedish carved small Folk Art boxes made in birch bark and pine wood from the Scandinavian country side. These 19th Century/Early 20th Century small collectibles were hand crafted and sometimes painted, used to keep personal small objects and simple (but precious for the owners) jewelry, sewing tools etc. The smallest ones were most probably used for keep "snuff" and were carried around in the owners pockets. They are patiently hand carved and decorated.
