A superb and richly detailed Large 19th century French green cut crystal and gilt bronze box in the refined Louis XVI style. This exceptional piece is crafted from vibrant emerald green crystal, intricately cut in a diamond-point lattice intersected with octagonal facets, creating a striking visual play of light and color. The rectangular form, with elegantly rounded corners, is adorned with finely cast ormolu mounts, including a continuous frieze of acanthus leaves that gracefully wraps around the upper rim. A beautifully detailed bronze escutcheon, shaped as a laurel wreath, frames the keyhole at the center of the front panel, adding a touch of classical grandeur.
