About the Item

This stunning English Art Deco geometric hand-hammered dinanderie, polished pewter-covered decorative box or tea caddy, was manufactured by A.E. Poston & Company, Birmingham, England, for their Knighthood Old English Pewter Collection. The beautiful geometric, rounded shape has faceting and hammering. The tea caddy is marked on the underside with legal metalworker stamps. Dimensions: 5.50 in diameter (14 cm) by 6.69 in high (17 cm). Note: A.E. Poston & Company, Birmingham, England. They developed their Knighthood Old English Pewter circa 1930. The company was in business from 1936 to 1953.
