This is an antique hat box. An English, leather hat case with silk top hat by Dunn, dating to the Regency period and later, circa 1820. Lovingly worn leather testament to many years of travel Displays a desirable aged patina Rich russet hues to the quality, stout leather Silk top hat in great order, from circa 1910 Leather carry handle to box lid with adjoining straps - one detached from last Opens to reveal hat recess with a striking, crimson velvet lining demilune covers to circumference offer dress ribbon storage Leather interior strap keeps the hat safely in place Captivating black silk top hat with matching dress ribbon Hat size approximately 50.5cm (20") in circumference - corresponds to adult small Maker's mark to interior for G.A. Dunn & Co, hatters of London Trimmed with a light silk lining and chestnut colored, leather head band This is a fascinating antique hat box with later, attractive top hat. Displaying years of dependable travel use, the hat box wears its patina with aplomb. The hat, itself an antique item, is in very good order and sports a dashing black visage. Delivered polished and ready to behold.
