An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver Arts and Crafts style biscuit barrel made by Liberty & Co Ltd; an addition to the ornamental silverware collection This exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver biscuit barrel has a circular rounded form onto a plain circular spreading foot. The body of the antique silver biscuit box has a subtly planished finish and is encompassed with two applied Arts and Crafts style borders. The ornamentation to the barrel incorporates four applied circular designs, featuring further interlacing and bead designs, in addition to a central quatrefoil motif. This antique box retains the original hallmarked push fit cover surmounted with a button style finial. This exceptional antique silver biscuit barrel retains the original, hallmarked swing handle, embellished with an interlacing Arts and Crafts design to the centre of the handpiece. This impressive box was crafted by the collectable silversmith Liberty & Co Ltd. Condition This antique sterling silver biscuit barrel is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. This impressive box has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The applied decoration is very sharp. The sterling silver hallmarks struck to the underside, in addition to the part hallmarks to the cover and handle are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot made by Edward & John Barnard; an addition to our Victorian silver condiments collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain circular form. The body of the mustard pot is encompassed with an exceptional and impressive band of bright cut engraved interlacing decoration accented with a simplified leaf motif. The decoration to the body incorporates a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting an eagle rousant, with wings addorsed and inverted, collared and chained, with an unidentified charge. The upper and lower rims of this fine example of Victorian silverware are ornamented with an impressive applied bead decorated border. This mustard pot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover encircled with an exceptional interlacing eight-pointed star motif with a central floral design. The cover is surmounted with an impressive sterling silver applied leaf thumb piece. This exceptional example of antique silverware has a plain shaped handle with a scrolling thumb piece.
