This is an antique workman's tool chest. An English, teak and brass capped craftsman's trunk, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880. Delightfully time-worn chest with a robust appeal Displays a desirable aged patina throughout Teak stocks present rich caramel hues and fine grain interest Brass strapping to corners presents a rich golden tonality Shallow lid opens wide to give access to the partially fitted interior Set of storage compartments reside within the lower section of the chest Through dovetail joints to the corners a testament to the lasting quality Dressed with stout cast iron handles to each side for ease of carriage This is a charming antique workman's tool chest, with a pleasingly original exterior. Can be used as a distinctive coffee table, or at the foot of a bed. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
