About the Item
This is a stunning Art Deco silver plate and wood-lidded box hand-crafted in France in the 1930s. The rectangular shape boasts a refined composition, featuring a Macassar wood body, an ornate silver plate metal handle, and a large decorative embossed plaque on the lid. The silver plate decorative ornament features a typical stylized floral Art Deco design and has a "DAC" monogram engraved in the decor. The artist to whom the DAC monogram belongs has not been identified.
Measurements: 8.88 in wide (22.5 cm) by 5.13 in deep (13 cm) by 2.38 in high (6 cm).
