About the Item
This is an Art Deco Whiting & Davis Dresden mesh evening purse. It is enamel hand painted with royal blue, yellow, orange and green colors featuring an “impressionist“ pattern. It ends with five arrows shaped fringe at the bottom. It has a gold tone metal frame adorned with different sizes of triangles with scrolls inside it. The purse closes with a kiss clasp and has an Art Deco chain handle. It is hanging inside a very well done rectangular acrylic panels and wood shadow box/display without doors. Inside the metal frame of the purse is marked Mesh Whiting and Davis Co.
