About the Item

Unusual and stylish sterling silver box, of particularly heavy gauge, by Birks of Canada. Designed to house cigarettes, the box features a ridged design to the top, gilding to the inside of the lid and a cedar lining to the body of the box. Silversmiths Henry Birks and Sons enjoyed a long tenure as Canada's top silver producer. Dimensions: 6cm/ 2⅜ inches (height) x 16.7cm/ 6⅝ inches (width) x 8.8cm/ 3½ inches (depth). Bentleys are Members of LAPADA, the London and Provincial Antique Dealers Association.
